Jacob, played by Robert Pattinson, in the movie. |
I am about halfway through my book now and my main protagonist has been through a lot; from dropping out of college, both parents death, the realization they were bankrupt because of his college decision, and the fact he has no one to go to. So far, over the text he has learned to become more independent upon himself rather than others and is able to make better decisions.
In the beginning of the book he was more timid and shy rather than a bold character, jumping upon the train after leaving home and talking to the people on the train had to take guts since one of them was wanting to beat him up anyway.
He helps the theme and the plot of the book arise because he is the main part that develops it. All his actions, thoughts, decisions, the clothes he wears, and his words all help influence the books overall appeal.
Have you seen the movie? If so, is it good?
ReplyDeleteNope, but I really want to after I finish reading the book :)
DeleteWondering if he wears suspenders in the book.. did he drop out of college because his parents died or for some other reason?
